It have been a while since I last decide to play around with new optics or equipment, so here it goes the latest project/purchase. I just ordered a set of the Trijicon RX30-51.

Anyone have any review or experience with it? I am getting tired of using my EoTech 511 and 550. So I've decided to go back to my original mindset of Trijicon. If no one have any reviews on it, I will provide one upon receiving it. From what I've done on research, the price seem to be the same as compare to the 511 or 551 EoTech, but one thing that draw me to it is no need of batteries. [/img]

PROS:

Large viewing surface (1x40mm)

Sturdy build body

Elevated for easy aiming

Battery-less

QD feature

CONS:

Heavy

Too much anti-glare

No protective lenses

Large body

Overall, not as great as an EoTech, but well worth the money.

I like the fact that you don't have to rely on battery power

What does this run for, like $300-$400? That is a cool idea, and a replica might be nice.

Does it use fiber optics for lighting just like the other trijicons? if so it must not work at night, correct? The sight on my compound bow is fiber optic but it has battery backup in low light conditions, just in case.

I believe the sight also uses Tritium gas to emit a dot when there is no light. My older Trijicon Reflex works the same way.

Wow... It has been a while since I post this review on the RX30-51. This reflex sight is made by the same company that makes ACOG. They adapt ACOG technology with the same concept behind it. Trijicon ACOGs and this reflex work both night and day. They also work under NVD. However, as I said mentioned before – once again – that if you are using NVD, your best tool for aiming is an I.R. laser.
