Image

$30 dollars a person prepaid. BB's included. 1 Raffle ticket ticket included.
$40 dollars for walk ons - No choice of team.
Field BB's only - Provided by us and included in your entry fee. Ground Zero's FPS limits are in place.
1 SAW gunner per team
Snipers/DM's allowed to utilize heavier weight sniper BB's of their own choosing. Rifles will be required to be chrono'd with .2's however, so please ensure they're within the limits of Ground Zero's regulations.
We will turn away anyone violating GZ's rules.
Dire Wolf Airsoft will be staff for this one with Ground Zero providing additional support and their field.

Quote:
Scenario:
It’s 30 days after December 21, 2012 (January 2013) Earths poles have shifted due to a flux differential in the inner core. Mexico City is the new north pole. Even though it’s January in the Northeast the conditions are tropical.
Many people have perished in the past month and the survivors left have found that safety in numbers is important. World governments have found this event too much to handle so have decided to cooperate as UN forces.
Survivors have formed according to their local, beliefs or relationship. Many bands of survivors roam areas until all local resources are used up then move on. When a group of survivors move on to an area already under control of a faction conflict erupts and sometimes results in the deployment of UN Security forces.
The UN security forces have been tasked with peace keeping, supplying equipment and medical support to anyone who needs it. Like everyone in post 2012 they can be bought for the right amount. Small groups of “civilians” who haven’t yet joined a larger faction are under the protection of the UN.
Resources are the key…paper money is useless and Gold is king. Water is the most precious consumable resource . Food and ammunition are also important to maintaining control and possessions of your “Turf” and resources. There are other resources that can be used such as Medical staff, Communications equipment and batteries amongst other things.

Teams will be taped off as these are basically civilian militia's going at it.

We'll label them Team A and Team B

Prepayments can be paypal'd to ctgrey02@airsoftct.com

Extra donations will also be accepted as all profits are going to help the kids.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone deemed unsafe. All others welcome.

Please check this thread occasionally for updates and changes. I will highlight any changes in policy/rules and pricing in red. Raffle prizes will be announced once we know more.

Nope, standard GZ rules apply other than the game play and wounded rules that will be different.

Nice, if I get some gear and mags, I will be in. Single day, or overnight.

I would say that yes that would be the right type of full face protection. However there is some question of the lens quality... it says "Lens ballistic protection: 120 M/S (approx. 394 FPS) with 6mm 0.25g BB". That's a bit dubious. It should be ANZI 87.1 or higher. That's the standard minimum protection rating for lenses.

Thats the same weekend as another big event we're looking at hitting, but if we decide not to go we'll definitely try and hit this. Is there no uniform requirement at all? Just people taped up?

This event will run a little different from others. Due to the scenario and that fact that the teams will be basically militias, it will not be the standard green vs. tan. More info will be posted as we get closer. I will say though that this is looking to be a very fun event and not your just your standard skirmish. Not to be missed.

Mid caps will definitely work to your advantage during this game but I don't believe we're requiring them...(I could be mistaken.)

i dont know how many you are expecting, but i think 1 saw gunner per team isnt going to be enough.

Trust me, you won't want more than one SAW gunner per team for this event. You'll need to figure out how to best deploy that member during the missions because if you don't use them properly that person will be a huge liability for your team. Points, points, points!

Hicaps won't be a problem Trevor. We're finishing up the rules and getting sponsors on board at the moment. Even the SAW gunners you wont have to worry so much about. All mags for this event need to be empty at the start of the game. Remember, we're supplying them to you guys as part of your entry fee, along with a raffle ticket.

This game will focus on resource management, tactics and skill, not spraying and praying.

Two questions, how many teams are there, and how does the whole supplying bbs thing work?
Sorry, never done this stuff before

Currently, it's set up for two teams plus a "neutral" team. We have contingencies to allow for team expansion based on attendance numbers up to a total of 5, I believe.

As for supplying BBs, unless you sign up as a team sniper, don't bring any BBs - we will be supplying them to every team so that all the riflemen/gunners are using the same ammunition. The price of ammunition is included in the admission fees for the game, so you might as well take advantage of not having to bring your own.

But what are the quantities like?
I have absolutely nothing to base ths off of...
Is it like as much as you can use, or enough so that you have to be conscious of what you are doing?

They'll be a resource to fight over, just like everything else. We'll get more details to you guys once we finalize them. It's an interesting concept game, and no one's done one like it to our knowledge. Like I said before, we're working on finanilizing sponsors for the game at the moment. We'll get the rest of the details hammered out shortly.

Incase you're worried about us not bringing enough, we're looking at ordering 250,000 or so. We'll have plenty.

Haha wow, if there are 100 people that is 2500 rounds each. Seals or Rangers would roll in with like 250 max...
I was thinking like 1000 each was what would happen

Like I said before, this is about resource management, tactics and skill, not mag dumping. That's what World @ War is for. This ones going to require thinking, and real team work to ensure resources retrieved (or stolen from the enemy stashes) and going where they're needed.

I think we gotta get a meeting in sooner than later to get these details finalized so you guys can prep for this.

The game will be fun, but we'll need it balanced. Dire Wolf will not be playing in this one, so we gotta ensure the bigger teams are opposite one an other.

Sounds great, but one last question...
Where do you get 250,000 bb's from?

This.

We'll get more of em if needed, but we're only expecting 100 or so players. If it gets nutty we'll order more to accommodate.
