For now, all i want to say is FLEXICUFF! FLEXICUFF! FLEXICUFF!

More on that, and other shenanigans later.

My treacherous ass escaped muahahahaha!! Game was great though. The other team put up a damn good fight and it showed in the point count. Looking forward to seeing more squads out there as the organized teams made the difference in game play. Just a phenominal weekend. Bigger and better than last years and a total blast to play.

I still have huge red marks on my hands from those damn flexi-cuffs... I guess I shouldn't have squeezed out of them.
Day 1 started off real rough for us, but it just got better and better. Great job Shep, the games were terrific!

Here is a slightly more indepth AAR.

Arrived at like 10:17pm on friday night.
Set up a tent, and then watched all my stuff drive back to rocky hill. For eye drops.
LAME.
Rae arrived a while later, and I "helped" her, jay and Shep set up their tent. I think I said shenanigans atleast 37 times. Something with buttery nipples, and not saying the word nipple around julie. Ask Ren
It fucking poured, and the lighting made Jay and I say "COOL". I tried to raid Noodle's tent, but ended up at helos  Sorry bro.

Saturday Morning, before the morning game.
Jay was still shenaniganed up. And wrapped like a fajita in his and rae's blankets. Needless to say, I LOL'd. E-JAC, aka Meko, went out for coffee, and didn't get shep one. OH SNAP! Noodle bought sheps love with some coffee. We made fun of hitman, and prolly made fun of me. Then shifty showed up, I lol'd. He Lol'd. Eventually Cap and his Grandma showed up, I yelled DERKA DERKA. There was much loling afterwards.

Saturday Game Til Lunch:
I walked out to Charlie with my Alpha Boys, Vic, Hitman, Noodle, and Otto. We left from Charlie to Alpha, and found Rae at Dogs leg. Then Jay in teh far corner of alpha. Noodle and I were supposed to protect Jay, but the two slowest guys protecting the fastest guy in the whole Op, wasn't the best idea. Needless to say, we got seperated. Well, noodle and I walked the ridge on the far side of tombstone, and hit the uconn team. We got a combined 3 kills before being over run. We ended up having to go back to base camp, and sign in. Only 1 of 2 times I went to base camp to sign in (not counting the night game I played). There we met hitman, and a couple Uconn kids. I saved hitman, who had an agreement with Jack from Uconn, we upheld that agreement. Then moved to the village. Blah blah, I'm told to watch the path to the village. I shoot deception and Mav, not knowing they weren't to be engaged. -100. I reunite with hitman and helo and after intercepting that deception was to kidnap some black ops, I Flexicuffed him. +100. YAY!
Then Hitman, Terry and I shenaniganed the Murder hole with the Shepard Graves defense. AKA the door cutouts wedged with 2x4's. No one was breachin our citadel. Then we broke for lunch.

More shenanigans to be recounted later.

Freaking awesome game.

Running with the nuke was fun, until we were told it was left over from DeadWood.. Damn them.

My gun performed horribly I figure it was the hop up bucking....

All in all, Im extremely tried and had a great time.

Thanks again Shep for putting the event on out of your own pocket.

Now were are them pictures!

Rae took and estimated Elventity billion pictures. She has promised them to be up, no later than next Burning Sun. More than likely, we should have em by Friday.

i have to say an amazing game Shep created. this was the UConn Airsoft Teams first big event and it was just amazing. organization and thinking that was involved was great and squad movements where nice. rolling with a good Recon Team was cool too (hence the scrape marks on my chest and stomache). i hope the UConn Airsoft Team can go more games like this and i hope you all enjoyed having the UConn Airsoft Team there because we did our best to get our full team there, even though we didn't. but again, great game shep

Having organized squads like yours and Filforce there made all the difference in good game play. Gives us a challenge, and it should give you a challenge.

My Recount:

I rounded everyone up for the briefing then non-chalantly disappeared down the trail and made my to alpha. I was informed Black ops was looking to secure me while Rangers and Seals were sent to being sent on a seek and destroy to find me. I meant not to be found unless I wanted to so I found a nice little rock ledge with ample foliage cover and down low enough to not stand out on a ridge line. Fireteam Alpha ended up walking almost directly to me along the tape line, and sure enough, that's were I got rescued. I was left with Victor, Noodle and Ritz and as Ritz pointed out, they couldnt keep up. Charlie fort needed to get me in so Victor escorted me there. Chris, if you read this, the Tape lines are extremely convoluted down along Bravo into Charlie. Very hard to distinguish actual boundaries when theres two. I got spotted once or twice and had to back up and circle around, but I refused to engage in a fire fight as that would have pretty much ended the game for me right there if I was hit or captured. Long story short, I made it into Charlie. We got points, and all was good. We got new orders to take and hold the village, so the entire team short of 6 who were ordered to attack tombstone (only to get annhilated) did just that and never came under attack. I unloaded on a couple guys near some rocks, and got one of them in the back. 5 minutes later, I got tagged in the goggles by that same guy, lol, I guess who ever he was with tagged him back in once his 5 was about up, lol. I laughed.

The rest of the day, and game, was wrought with back stabbing, pay offs, negotiations, mag dumping fire fights, a brutal hold on dogs leg we could not break, lots of safety kills, hunting down shep only to get caught defending Meko from a side fire fight with rangers. I took out three before getting taken out by quite a few more people filtering in. Got shot in the arm that time and still have the mark, lol.

Sundays village battle to find the nuke was insane. We high tailed out of alpha with a large force, and took out all the opfor on the hill behind the G&L Murder house before taking heavy losses to capture that. For at least 15 minutes there was heavy fire coming in and bags worth spraying out of Noodles SAW until someone started laying BB's into that window to shut him up. I saw that that was pointless and bolted out to help our fire team in the village. I must have healed at least 5 people, some on many occasions and got shot myself once to get healed by Ferrari that time. I bolted across when I saw that the ridge was taking heavy fire and was told to do a binky special, so I backed out, loaded my mags and went on my way. I passed a dead sniper team heading to respawn on my way out, cut through tombstone down through charlie and stopped when I saw a 2 man team reinserting. One walked through charlie fort which was about 20 feet in front of me. I waited for him to get out in the open again and fired at his back. I bolted for charlie fort after he put his hand up, and moved on the second guy who was behind some rocks. To that guy, I'm sorry, I honestly could not hear ya over the mech box on my gun. He apparantly tried to call hit 4 times while I was firing. Again, sorry.

By the time I made it up top, the entire Rangers/Seals team was wiped out and sitting there in respawn. I watched them with Caelus until we captured thier CO and high tailed it out of there. Meko located the nuke but failed to locate the laptop at that time and hi-tailed it out. We took Alpha and secured it after hiding the nuke. At that point I was told I had to double cross our entire team, capture our CO Pops, kill the rest and bring the enemy CO back to Staging to meet with shep. I forcefully recruited Meko and Budda with Sheps son helping to make their decision an easy one. Then off to Ritz who was already with us. I had my gun on everyone just in case someone caught on. We called pops over to discuss the next mission and at that point Ottoman radioed into pops that I was acting fishy and to watch me for a back stab. Pops had his radio on loud enough for me to hear. Every man up there had a gun on them, so as soon as Shifty heard the same radio message (the look of shock on his face was f'n great, lol) I safety killed all of them. Shep's son safety killed Victor. Ritz waved by by to Shifty, and I shot Ottoman and PhotosbyMike to keep them out of it. We moved both commanders, decided capturing the only demolitions man was a good idea as well and severly set back the teams ability to move on thier next mission. Had I been shot doing this I would have been worth a hundred points to the team, but no one bothered and I managed to escape. Shep allowed a release of Ottoman and Pops for me, and they went off to find the laptop which they did. I wasnt in the rest of the game at that point so I can't comment on the rest. To those of you that won the raffles, congrats. Both teams played well and I had a blast hanging out with and playing with everyone.

Edit: To the staff of SP and the G&L/KS staff running the event. Thanks. The game went smoother than any of the others I've played and seemed better organized this year as well. Issues were handled promptly, the building donated by G&L, Deception and Ottoman, changed the way the village games run, and the game was just a great success in my opinion. If theres to be another in this series, I'm definitely looking forward to it.

I want to thank you all for allowing me to run around with you guys taking photos wearing BRIGHT yellow to try and avoid being hit this weekend. I apologize to those of you that got hit or attacked due to me being around taking pictures. I will try next time not to have a photo shoot planed a week after the game so I can dress a little less conspicuous. I have edited all the photos for Sunday’s game and will be making a huge concerted effort to edit the photos of Saturday’s games and try to have them posted tonight, however I can not make any promises as there are A LOT of dam photos. I would also like to say that I can only imagine how sore all of you are because I hurt like hell and I didn’t do half as much running or get hit nearly as much as all of you. I did however walk away with my very own battle wounds. Thanks to all those in Tombstone that lit me up, three sots two in the arm one in the back it was great fun :D . All in all I had a blast and can not wait to do it again.

Was the best game i've played. had loads of fun rolling with uconn and Filforce. From Jays description of what happen on blacks ops, it sounds like we rangers had it easy. simply find and defend objectives, shoot anyone in DCUs, and hire Mercs whenever we need to. still a tough game though. and again, Deception, we could have really used you guys during the last round :D

It was surely one of the best games I took part in in a long time. It was a choice between leading the Filforce Multicam squad for the entire day or playing combat photographer later in the day. I opted for the first choice after seeing the lady photographer there documenting the encounters.

Filforce showed up with 18 warm bodies (there were 22 supposedly but some of them backed out the night before due to circumstances they could not avoid). Since most of the no shows were supposed to be in the Ranger team, we were only able to contribute eight fighters to that side. The rest were designated Charlie Team for the Black Ops side.

Our first assignment was to find CTGrey up in Alpha. This mission was conducted in conjuction with Bravo team which will make its way to Alpha via Dog's Leg. We took the route near the bridge at the foot of Alpha. As it was, Bravo was able to secure CTGrey first and we were ordered to return to Charlie Fort and reinforce it. We were told Charlie Fort was about to be overrun.

On our way back, we encountered several Rangers on their way back from respawn. We were left with no choice but to ambush them otherwise they would be the ones hitting us from our six. We proceeded to the ridge overlooking Charlie Fort and engaged Rangers who have been raining BBs on our base. By then, the fort was reinforced by Black Ops members returning from respawn.

Along with some other Black Ops members, we took out several Rangers and proceeded to dislodge them from the top of the hill but they were able to hold on to it well into the next mission. We pulled off our assault after we were told to establish a defensive perimeter around the village.

A Ranger attempt to penetrate our lines was foiled when they fell into a Filforce ambush. Two rangers were able to make it to the killhouse but never made it inside. One Ranger believed to be returning from respawn was able to make it close enough to take out two Black Ops operators standing outside the Killhouse. Noodles was one of them I believe. The Ranger got killed himself.

We were later told that Shep wants a four-man team to proceed to the staging area to get our orders. I assigned one Filforce member to go with the team but they never returned. I found out later they were held hostage.

I was supposed to take photos after the lunch break but seeing the photographer in yellow there, decided to continue playing. Our next mission was to serve as diversionary force to keep the Rangers occupied while the rest of our Black Ops team went about with their mission at Alpha.

My two five-man fire teams then went forth to set ourselves as bait. Less than 10 minutes after leaving Charlie Fort, we had contact. Our first team encountered some Rangers near Teepee and we got engaged. We took out several Rangers in the firefight and within minutes, more Rangers joined the exchange. The diversionary plan worked but we were now outnumbered and the enemy had the higher ground.

We decided to pull back but our SAW gunner and another member got hit before we could start withdrawing. The second fire team to our left was also being engaged and enemy fighters were also pouring in from the right. We set off orange smoke to cover our withdrawal but the enemy was able to press its attack. One Ranger went through the smoke in front of my position and absorbed my BBs. We took out some more of them but with us getting hit one after the other, it was just a matter of moments before we got overwhelmed.

The end came from three Rangers who were returning from respawn who hit us from our six. The firefight reminded me of how the 14 Philippine Marines were killed last month after they were ambushed by the Moro Islamic Liberation Front and the Abu Sayyaf in Basilan.

After respawn, we were told to attack Tombstone. We made our way to the outskirts of Tombstone without any contact. We could hear a heavy exchange in the direction of Dog's Leg and we assumed a major firefight was going on.

Tombstone was unusually quiet as we surveyed it but we knew the enemy was there. We just do not know how many Rangers were defending it. We were spotted as we made our way in and this triggered an exchange that lasted for quite sometime. The defenders were able to hold their ground until they were reinforced. A few minutes later, the Rangers withdrew.

Unfortunately, at that point, we had to leave for New York. We already missed our scheduled departure by an hour. That more than shows how much we had fun that day. Too bad we missed the night game and Sunday's.

We hope to see some of you on September 15 for Basilan Fury.

That perimeter that you guys set up around the village first round led to a stand off that lasted well into the round after lunch break. Then you guys just all disappeared somewhere else. Half our team were on the hill on your right. someone yelled out" it's shogun, everyone open fire". that firefight lasted a good half hour. Hopefully I'll see you at Basilan fury. Pops, we still on for carpool?

:D I got hit two times during that firefight but got rescued before the three Rangers delivered the coup d' grace and wiped us all out. I do hope to see you for Basilan Fury. Better work on that car pool my friend.

Jules, women are always welcome to play. Maybe if more played it would be easier to convince my wife to play and then she wouldn't be on my case about buying AEG's and asking me when I'll get back home from my 'game'

That was a hoot of a Saturday. I can't wait to see pix.

When getting ready in the parking lot, I couldn't remember if I sprayed my barrel with silcone or not the night before. So I sprayed again for safe measure. Big mistake. When I got to chrono my AEG gained 50fps, I kid you not. I'd never seen my G36 record 420fps! I almost had to get an orange quicktie but I decided to shoot through two full mags of BB's. Lo and behold, it went back to normal at 377fps but my hop-up was still so juicy that it was useless all day.

It was great working with all the Black Ops boys. Despite a couple of accidental friendly fire moments, like when I got safety-killed by one of our guys outside the kill-house. He didn't know that MultiCam was on Black Ops side. lol. It's all good, I got medic'd by him 5 minutes later.

High point of the day for me was when I got the drop on three guys just north of the village who were waiting to ambush our folks coming back from respawn.

Great job Shep. Looking forward to next year.

P.S. Hey, what was the deal with the Eifel Tower?

P.P.S. BTW guys, we're setting up a CQB training day down at the Philly warehouse on Sep 1. It'll be a good practice session for those heading out to OP:Irene. http://www.filforce.org/Events/tabid/68/Default.aspx

OK so I have edited ALL the Photos from the weekend. There are a total of 300 Photos. I am currently in the process of creating a web Gallery as we speak and they will be posted when my computer geek of a husband wakes up. (most likely tomorrow sometime). I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoyed taking them.

Sorry guys for I couldn't make it on this event. I heard from the guys that it was such a great game. they had a great time.

On behalf of Filforce, thanks so much for inviting us. And thank you so much for another awesome airsoft experience.
